Day Program Activities Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Day Program Activities Assistant. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as behavioral challenges, to achieve their goals and build life skills in a Day Program or Day Habilitation setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct care and support to individuals with varying levels of need, focusing on developmental skill training in self-care, self-direction, and independent living skills.
- Facilitate rehabilitative activities, including art, music, and horticulture, to promote socialization, fine-and-gross motor skills, and communication.
- Work collaboratively with a small group of individuals to develop and implement personalized plans, promoting their recovery, resiliency, and self-determination.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of program goals and objectives.
- High School diploma or GED required; a bachelor's degree in Psychology, Human Services, Special Education, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience working with similar populations is highly desirable.
- Strong time management, organizational, and writing skills are essential.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and able to become CPR and First Aid certified within 2 weeks of employment.
- Must pass a CORI, SORI, reference, and national fingerprinting background check.
