Job Overview
Our Enterprise Pricing and Promotions division is expanding, and we are seeking a Senior Analyst, Pricing Insights. This role is pivotal in assisting Giant Eagle in cultivating deep insights into customer behaviors and market dynamics to guide our merchandising strategies.

Role Responsibilities:
This position requires a blend of analytical expertise and creative thinking, as you will:
  • Utilize your analytical capabilities and data proficiency to identify issues, assess data, and convey findings to non-technical audiences.
  • Engage with business, merchandising, and marketing teams to prioritize opportunities within current operations.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to implement effective analytics that inform strategic business decisions.
  • Interpret analytical results and develop actionable recommendations to create collaborative action plans with stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of custom analytics projects that enhance customer understanding and promote a customer-centric approach across the organization.
  • Analyze promotional data and synthesize findings into coherent narratives.
  • Oversee projects and stakeholder engagement to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery of project specifications.
  • Mentor and develop junior analysts to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.

Key Qualifications:
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in pricing, promotions, or financial analysis.
  • 5+ years of experience in the analytics field.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and mentor junior analysts.
  • Proficiency in Python and R for data manipulation (specific to the Pricing Analyst role).
  • Advanced skills in Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUP).
  • Familiarity with PowerBI and SQL is preferred.
  • Experience with lifecycle price optimization software for retailers (e.g., Revionics, DemandTec).
  • Background in the Retail or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver results effectively.
  • Demonstrated experience in influencing stakeholders.
