Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 4 PM EST
Weekends and Holidays may be required based on business needs.
The role involves receiving, storing, and distributing raw materials, packaging components, and operational supplies essential for manufacturing processes. This includes handling samples for testing and special assignments. Responsibilities also encompass shipping and conducting inventory cycle counts to support various warehouse operations and plant requirements.
Compliance with all security protocols, environmental health and safety regulations, and current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is mandatory for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Receive purchased materials (including raw materials, supplies, packaging components, and regulated substances), conduct visual inspections, verify quantities through counting or weighing, and document the information in inventory control systems.
2. Maintain and generate transactions within the SAP environment, addressing issues related to damaged, short, excess, or missing orders in accordance with the Materials Damages & Claim Procedure.
3. Collect samples for analysis of received raw materials and packaging components, as well as for re-evaluation of existing materials.
4. Store materials according to their applicable status, adhering to current GMPs, while ensuring that work areas remain clean and organized.
5. Transfer materials from the warehouse to production lines and manage the return of materials to stock following established procedures.
6. Keep inventory control systems (both manual and computerized) updated and accurate, including freight container inventories. Participate in the cycle counting process as per inventory control procedures. Prepare materials for shipment, ensuring correct picking based on applicable status and GMPs for truck loading.
7. Operate and maintain warehouse equipment, including radios and forklifts.
8. Properly handle and dispose of rejected materials, hazardous goods, and regulated waste in designated on-site disposal facilities.
Education and Requirements:
- High School diploma required; an Associate's degree or some college education, or trade school experience is preferred.
- A valid driver's license is required; an acceptable driving record must be verified.
- Forklift operation experience is preferred but not mandatory (training will be provided).
- Experience in a regulated environment such as FDA, Pharma, or Bio-Pharma is preferred.
