Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft and Review Legal Documents: Develop, review, and revise settlement agreements, class notices, and cover letters to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
  • Prepare Motions and Briefs: Draft, review, and revise motions for preliminary approval, motions for final approval, and motions for PAGA approval, as well as supplemental briefing and declarations in support of these motions.
  • Case Management and Advocacy: Prepare for, and attend, case management conferences, status conferences, hearings on motions for preliminary approval, final approval, PAGA approval, etc.
  • Client Communication: Communicate with clients in a timely and professional manner to ensure their needs are met and expectations are managed.
  • Settlement Administration: Communicate with settlement administrators regarding settlement administration and keep track of all deadlines related to this process.
  • Review and Analysis: Review settlement administrator disbursement databases and declarations to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 1+ years of experience in employment litigation, with a strong understanding of motion practice and legal advocacy.
  • Skills: Strong writing and research skills, excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail and strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
