Job Summary

Graham Engineering Corporation is seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembly Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Equipment Assembly department, you will be responsible for the assembly of major components and sub-assemblies for our blow molding, sheet line, and extrusion machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and install major components with their respective sub-assemblies with minimal supervision.
  • Perform assembly functions involving layouts, positioning of components, maintaining specified tolerances, alignment of drive couplings and pinion gears, roller chain and belt installations, and bore-sighting.
  • Assist in start-up, processing, repairs, and re-builds of equipment.
  • Identify equipment needs and safety issues pertaining to the operation and condition of the equipment.
  • Operate lathes, milling machines, drill presses, saws, surface grinders, and other tools to make repairs to machinery or custom installations as necessary.
  • Operate a forklift in a safe manner.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and follow safety rules.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in machine or industrial assembly.
  • Focus on workplace safety, own safety, and the safety of those around them.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Forklift certification or ability to become certified.
  • Basic understanding of electronics.
  • Availability to work overtime as needed.
  • Physical and medical standards for this position must be met by passing a physical examination by a company-approved physician.
