Dane Street, LLC, recognized as a certified "Great Place to Work," is seeking Board Certified Internal Medicine physicians to perform Independent Medical Exams (IME) and Peer Reviews. This role offers the flexibility to tailor your schedule and caseload within a standard Monday to Friday work week while adhering to client-mandated turnaround times.
As a Physician Reviewer, you will be contacted when there is an IME or Peer Review available in your area to schedule or assign a case. Compensation is provided on a per-case basis as a 1099 independent contractor.
Physician Specialties: Internal Medicine
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough reviews of medical records, addressing each inquiry posed by the client using state-mandated or nationally recognized evidence-based criteria.
- Ensure that the rationale for determinations is articulated clearly, concisely, and supported by adequate documentation.
- Return cases by the designated due date and time.
- Maintain proper credentialing, state licenses, and any additional certifications required for the role.
- Participate in all necessary orientation and training sessions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, including addressing quality assurance issues, regulatory concerns, depositions, court appearances, or audits.
- Critically evaluate and utilize current criteria and resources, such as national, state, and professional association guidelines, to support objective decision-making in reviews.
- Provide copies of any criteria used in a review along with the report in a timely manner.
- Conduct Independent Medical Exams in a professional, safe, and clean environment.
