Position Summary:

The Senior Gas Scheduler will play a crucial role in managing the scheduling of natural gas. This position involves collaborating with traders, originators, and fellow schedulers to optimize operations and ensure accurate reporting of activities across multiple pipelines in support of the trading division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of natural gas movement, including familiarity with electronic bulletin boards and pipeline tariffs.
  • Develop insights into pipeline contracts to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Verify transactions with external parties while fostering strong professional relationships.
  • Monitor pipeline volumes through electronic bulletin boards and adjust forecasts as necessary.
  • Maintain detailed records, including spreadsheets for pipeline imbalances, PAL balances, and storage metrics.
  • Stay informed on pipeline notices and promptly communicate relevant issues to the team.
  • Participate in cross-training on various pipelines to broaden knowledge and expertise.
  • Provide assistance to internal departments and contribute to special projects as required.
  • Experience with nominating on Permian, West, and Midcontinent pipelines is advantageous.
  • Exemplify leadership qualities by supporting and promoting the corporate philosophy and work ethic of Energy Transfer.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5 to 8 years of analytical experience in a relevant field, with a strong foundation in natural gas, gas scheduling, tariffs, contracts, and/or gas accounting, including a minimum of 5 years in gas scheduling or a related discipline.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Availability for on-call duties, which may involve evening, weekend, and holiday shifts as scheduled by the team.
  • This position is primarily office-based.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong multitasking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and planning skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in Excel and Word.
  • A highly motivated individual capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment with stringent deadlines.
  • Familiarity with nominating on Permian, West, and Midcontinent pipelines is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Allegro – Horizon software is beneficial.
