Ferris State University is seeking a highly skilled Graphic Designer/Copywriter to join our team. As a key member of our creative services department, you will be responsible for designing and developing original marketing and advertising materials that showcase the university's brand identity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop visual communications materials, including print and online collateral, that align with the university's brand guidelines.
  • Write compelling copy for advertising and marketing materials, including brochures, newsletters, and social media campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the multimedia coordinator to select and manage digital assets through the online photo library.
  • Develop and implement design concepts that meet the needs of the university's marketing and branding initiatives.
  • Work independently and as part of a creative team to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, fine arts, advertising, marketing, or a related field.
  • At least one year of professional work experience as a print designer and a strong professional design portfolio.
  • Proficient use of Adobe Creative Suite 5 and Mac and Windows operating systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office/Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Publisher/Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a creative team.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Adobe Dreamweaver and Adobe Flash experience.
  • Demonstrated commitment, experience, and understanding for diversity, equity, and inclusion.
