Position Overview:


The Talent Acquisition Coordinator will collaborate with the Human Resources and Safety departments to facilitate the recruitment and onboarding of new personnel, ensuring they are well-acquainted with company protocols and that all necessary documentation is collected.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifies, interviews, and supports the recruitment of suitable candidates for vacant roles; partners with department Supervisors and Managers to comprehend the skills and qualifications needed for positions.
  • Coordinates the acquisition of temporary staff through our staffing agency partners.
  • Collects, evaluates, and monitors job applications.
  • Conducts interviews with potential candidates.
  • Evaluates experience levels on various equipment (such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks).
  • Handles different types of employment verifications: drug screening, criminal background checks, driving history, E-verify and I9, reference checks, etc.
  • Plans, organizes, and delivers training for new hires and existing employees focusing on various skills, policies, and compliance areas.
  • Schedules training sessions with participants; prepares and distributes training materials like handouts; and performs other related tasks.
  • Assigns lockers and provides necessary safety Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to both new and current employees.
  • Assists in monitoring inventory and reordering PPE and supplies as needed.
  • Inputs and maintains employee information in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and personnel files.
  • Creates and circulates the monthly calendar for birthdays and work anniversaries.
  • Keeps the company bulletin boards updated with job postings, company news, events, and memos.
  • Translates company communications, memos, and letters.
  • Performs clerical duties such as photocopying, mailing, scanning, and emailing documents.
  • Undertakes additional responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements

Essential Skills and Qualifications:


  • Bilingual with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion and professionalism.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and task-focused.
  • Exceptional presentation skills.
