Position Overview: The Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist - MRI plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality imaging services. This position involves operating MRI equipment and ensuring patient safety throughout the imaging process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe MRI scanning environment, adhering to established safety protocols.
- Collaborate with radiologists to develop and enhance examination protocols tailored to patient needs.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on MRI techniques and equipment usage.
- Conduct thorough patient screenings to identify any contraindications for MRI procedures.
- Administer contrast agents under the supervision of a radiologist, ensuring proper timing and technique.
- Monitor and report any equipment malfunctions, participating in quality control measures.
Qualifications:
- Certification in general radiologic technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
- Advanced ARRT certification in MRI is preferred.
- Completion of a recognized diagnostic radiologic technology program.
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety standards and imaging techniques.
Physical Requirements: The role requires the ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and assist patients in various positions.
Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday.
