Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced EHS Specialist to join our dynamic team within the Manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of EHS regulations and a passion for promoting a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and manage safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Provide training and education to employees on safety practices, procedures, and regulations to foster a culture of safety within the organization.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Manage and maintain EHS records and documentation, including incident reports, training records, and safety data sheets.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and represent the company during EHS audits and inspections.
  • Collaborate with management and employees to identify and address EHS concerns and continuously improve the EHS performance of the organization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an EHS role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and guidelines, including OSHA, EPA, and other relevant agencies.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation is preferred.
  • Proven experience in conducting safety audits and inspections, incident investigation, and risk assessments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and educate employees on safety matters.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and EHS management systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address EHS issues proactively.
  • Commitment to promoting a culture of safety within the organization.
