Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Electric Powerline Technician to join our team at Choptank Electric Cooperative. As an Electric Powerline Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical powerlines and equipment. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong understanding of electrical systems and a commitment to safety.

Responsibilities:

• Install and maintain electrical powerlines and equipment
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems
• Work at heights and in confined spaces
• Collaborate with other technicians and supervisors to ensure efficient and safe work practices

Requirements:

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Six months on-the-job training
• Valid Maryland Class A Restricted driver's license
• Ability to pass a physical examination and meet Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations

Working Conditions:

This role requires working outdoors in various weather conditions and subject to irregular hours for emergencies. You must be able to reside within a twenty-seven (27) mile radius from the district office to be available in case of outages.
