About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Montessori Infant Teacher to join our team at Guidepost Montessori. As a Lead Infant Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the growth and development of our youngest students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Observe and Understand Each Child's Needs: Develop a deep understanding of each child's physical, intellectual, and emotional needs, and create a personalized plan to support their growth and development.
  • Prepare a Beautiful Environment: Design and prepare a beautiful, orderly environment that fosters trust, exploration, deep learning, and independence.
  • Cultivate Independence and Self-Confidence: Help children develop the skills and confidence they need to become independent and self-sufficient.
  • Form Personal Connections: Build strong relationships with each child and their families, and work collaboratively to provide the best possible care and education.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate regularly with parents and colleagues to ensure that each child receives the support and care they need.
Requirements
  • Montessori Training: Pursuing or have obtained a Montessori diploma through our Prepared Montessorian Institute or have equivalent experience.
  • Early Childhood Education Experience: Experience working with children ages 0-3 in a group setting, such as daycare, childcare, or nursery.
  • Child-Led Philosophies: Familiarity with child-led philosophies such as Reggio Emilia or Montessori, and a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Education and Certifications: Earned an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in any subject, and relevant certifications in early childhood education.
