Job Title: Learning Experience Designer

Integrated Power Services (IPS) is seeking a talented Learning Experience Designer to join our corporate team. As a crucial member of our team, you will play a key role in shaping the capabilities of our teams through designing, building, and delivering innovative learning programs, systems, and role-specific learner needs for both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop complex learning solutions that increase engagement, improve retention, and drive a deeper understanding of complex products, systems, and workflows.
  • Provide strategic learning design direction to team members and curriculum creators to shape the learners' experience.
  • Lead and conduct thorough learner need gap analysis, create robust and interactive learning solutions, and evaluate effectiveness of learning methods regularly.
  • Rapid prototyping, beta testing, and peer reviews of learning solutions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to influence development of enablement programs and learning events, new learning initiatives, and learning impacts of product releases and new launches.
  • Successfully use performance consulting techniques to understand knowledge gaps, skills gaps, and learning needs while driving metric-based learning.
  • Analyze learning data to drive the creation of complex learning programs/solutions that answer key questions for stakeholders, with an eye on what drives business performance.
  • Investigate and communicate which areas need improvement in efficiency and productivity for learning solutions.
  • Identify, build, and implement new industry trending best practices, methodologies, and learning solutions that drive business outcomes across multiple cross-departmental functions and teams.
Qualifications and Competencies:
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience or project management.
  • Knowledge of and experience with LMS and other instructional design technologies.
  • Experience with authoring tools (e.g., Rise 360, Articulate, Storyline, etc.).
  • Experience with Canva and Camtasia.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Self-starter who identifies problems, evaluates options, and initiates solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others, with demonstrated abilities in customer service, problem-solving, and consensus-building.
  • Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
  • Ability to design and implement effective training and development systems.
  • Work effectively both independently and as a member of a team.
  • Skilled at communicating technical information in terms understandable to non-technical end-users.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design techniques.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
