Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Counselor to join our team at InVision Human Services. As a Residential Counselor, you will provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, promoting their independence, dignity, and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Planning: Implement all aspects of support plans, ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting the individual's goals and needs.
  • Medical Care: Provide routine, emergent, and follow-up medical care, ensuring the individual's overall health and well-being.
  • Household Management: Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and security of the home or property, including housekeeping, minor repairs, and yard care.
  • Financial Management: Serve as a responsible petty cash custodian, ensuring accurate documentation of expenditures and adherence to budgets.
  • Communication: Develop and maintain positive relationships with individuals, families, and colleagues, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and professionalism.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma/GED and a minimum of 3 years working in the field of social services.
  • Experience: Prior knowledge of 6400 regulations and a willingness to participate in educational opportunities.
  • Skills: Valid driver's license, current vehicle insurance, and ability to comprehend and apply basic mathematical concepts.
