Position Overview:
The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients.

Responsibilities include overseeing the treatment and services provided by LPNs, CNAs, and other personnel within the designated unit and shift.

The RN is tasked with formulating, executing, and assessing individualized care plans for each patient. This involves continuous assessment and re-evaluation of patient conditions, as well as effective communication with the interdisciplinary team. Timely reporting of patient concerns and changes in health status to supervisors and/or physicians is essential.

Employment Types:
Full-time, Part-time, PRN, Permanent, Per diem

Compensation:
*$5,000 sign-on bonus.*
*RN Pay- up to $38/hr based on experience.*

Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Preferred: One or more years of nursing experience in the relevant clinical area.
  • Experience in behavioral health, psychiatric, or addiction recovery settings is preferred.
Licensure and Certifications:
  • Must possess a valid RN license from the state or a compact state, as applicable.
  • Certification in Psychiatric Nursing is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide and coordinate care by assessing both physical and behavioral health needs of clients, developing and implementing nursing care plans, maintaining accurate medical records, and educating clients and their families about various health conditions while ensuring client safety.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of client status and document pertinent information.
  • Ensure nursing treatment plans are tailored to assessed needs, with initial treatment plans completed upon admission.
  • Accurately transcribe and document physician's orders, ensuring clarity and compliance with policies.
  • Administer medications as prescribed, maintaining accurate records of controlled substances and monitoring compliance through lab results.
  • Notify physicians of significant changes in patient status, including medical emergencies or responses to medications.
  • Supervise self-administration of medications, employing safety measures for client identification.
  • Maintain accountability for medication administration, documentation, and security, including narcotics.
  • Efficiently manage admission and discharge processes as directed.
  • Collaborate regularly with the treatment team regarding client care and participate in unit activities such as therapy groups and meetings.
  • Educate clients, families, and colleagues on medication usage, side effects, and client rights.
  • Monitor client acuity, staffing needs, and arrange coverage as necessary, adhering to established guidelines.
  • Ensure thorough documentation for all clients during each shift and complete daily assignment sheets.
  • Provide comprehensive reports to incoming staff, supervisors, and physicians.
  • Offer support in emergency services as required.
