About the Job

Under the direction of the Director, you will supervise and coordinate the work activities of the professional and technical staff in the Medsurg department. You will organize and coordinate the activities of the department through the appropriate assignment of responsibilities, delegation of authority, and overall direction of workflow processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the work activities of the professional and technical staff
  • Organize and coordinate the activities of the department
  • Monitor and evaluate the activities of the department personnel
  • Provide management coaching, guidance, and on-the-job training and retraining as necessary
  • Initiate progressive disciplinary action as needed
  • Monitor and evaluate systems and processes
  • Ensure quality assurance standards are followed
  • Communicate with administration, medical staff, employees, and other departments
Requirements
  • FL RN License
  • BLS and ACLS Certifications
  • Minimum Two (2) years' experience in an acute care setting
