About the Role

Catholic Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Payroll Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our payroll department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our payroll processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify Kronos time sheet totals and ensure accurate input of data and configuration in Kronos.
  • Take ownership of the Catholic Medical Center payroll process, maintaining accountability and overseeing check requisitions, deductions, and electronic transmissions.
  • Assist in processing payroll for affiliated entities and serve as a backup for check requisitions and deductions.
  • Ensure compliance with Payroll/Human Resources policies and validate time sheet entries approved by department heads.
  • Provide support in understanding payroll calculations and deductions for employees, addressing and correcting issues as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee and hospital matters, fostering positive working relationships.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associates Degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in finance with specific knowledge of payroll processing.
  • Proficiency in using computer software applications: Kronos and Oracle Payroll systems, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members.
