Position Summary:
This role involves the meticulous preparation of various menu items, ensuring adherence to established recipes and maintaining high standards of quality and consistency.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Prepare designated food items in accordance with the menu, ensuring recipe accuracy and quality.
  • Uphold kitchen cleanliness and sanitation standards as mandated by health regulations.
  • Organize and maintain designated kitchen workstations for optimal efficiency.
  • Utilize kitchen supplies and equipment responsibly to reduce waste and loss.
  • Follow safe food handling practices consistently.
  • Store food items securely, labeling them with the date and contents.
  • Notify management of any equipment needing repair or maintenance.
  • Keep the workspace tidy and clean, including the upkeep of food preparation equipment.
  • Perform additional back-of-house tasks as directed by management.

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar role within a full-service dining establishment.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment while managing multiple tasks.
  • Capability to remain composed under pressure, fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Proven ability to produce substantial quantities of work while adhering to the Chef's quality standards.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 35 lbs and to push or pull items weighing up to 75 lbs.
  • Willingness to stand or walk for extended periods, with frequent bending, twisting, and reaching overhead.
  • Proficient in using culinary tools (knives, commercial kitchen equipment, etc.) and possess the ability to taste and smell effectively.
