Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CDL Truck Driver to join our team at Primoris Services Corporation. As a CDL Truck Driver, you will be responsible for operating various trucks to transport equipment and materials to and from construction sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate water trucks, concrete mixers, and dump trucks to transport paving materials, construction supplies, dirt, water, or garbage.
  • Drive trucks equipped with open beds to transport dirt, rocks, sand, coal, or gravel.
  • Practice safety rules and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Report to and assist immediate supervisor.
  • Perform quality work as determined by project specifications.
  • Accountable for all tools and materials at the end of your shift.
  • Must work well as part of a team.
Requirements
  • CDL B required.
  • DOT drug screen/physical.
  • Driver must be in DOT compliance at all times.
  • Must be registered DACH.
  • Move hand and foot levers to control operating equipment.
  • Interpret hand signals to determine where materials are to be placed.
  • Assemble or disassemble equipment or material on construction projects.
  • Manipulate equipment on unleveled working surfaces.
  • Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, water and all fluids and performs pre and post trip inspections.
  • Inspect material to ensure it has been loaded correctly and is secure and reviews shipping documents to verify all information is accurate.
Qualifications
  • Two (2) to four (4) years of experience in specified skill (Commercial Driver Licenses).
  • Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.
  • New Hire Orientation Quiz.
  • Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others in the workplace.
  • Job site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.).
  • Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.).
Work Environment
  • Location: industrial construction sites and/or fabrication shop.
  • Mobility Barriers to Access Job Site:
    • Uneven ground level.
    • Obstructed pathways.
    • Work performed at low and/or high elevations.
    • Work performed in confined areas.
  • Climatic/Environmental Conditions at Job Site:
    • Predominately outdoor climate.
    • May be exposed to extreme hot or cold weather.
    • Excessive humidity, rain, etc.
    • Various noise levels caused by tools, machinery, equipment, etc.
    • Potential exposure to chemical substances.
