Job Title: Enterprise Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Systems Engineer to join our team at Logistics Management Institute (LMI). As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting a DOD logistics SAP/ERP data migration effort.

Job Summary:

The Enterprise Systems Engineer will provide technical expertise to support the development and implementation of LogIT solutions. This includes evaluating functional requirements, translating functional requirements into technical solutions, and working closely with government and contractor stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Support requirements definition and coordinate with government and contractor stakeholders to develop LogIT solutions.
  • Document data exchanges and requirements to support logistics and sustainment activities, including provisioning and cataloging, logistics product data, and requisitions/fills.
  • Exercise audit readiness expertise to enhance systems materiel data harvesting and implement metrics reporting tools to support lifecycle management decision-making.
  • Enhance asset data automation and metrics reporting tools to enable informed decision-making throughout the lifecycle management process.
  • Identify and document structured and unstructured sustainment data and develop an approach to enable DoD organizations to upload, search, and access relevant supply chain and maintenance data for future data mining actions.
  • Determine and document data sharing pathways and bilateral agreements.
  • Address intellectual property and technical data matters to enable supply support and maintenance planning.
  • Provide technical support and solutioning to government data requirements out of prime vendor systems.
  • Interact professionally with clients and internal teams, gather requirements, and document work in a ticketing system, designing and implementing new feature additions and improvements.
  • Work directly with the customer to gather requirements and product feedback for future iterations.
  • Support capabilities briefings for military personnel.
  • Strong ability to analyze business requirements and create solutions.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and provide timely resolutions.
  • Clearly communicate with product owners to understand business concerns and demonstrate proposed solutions for acceptance.
  • High energy, enthusiasm, tact, ability to effectively interact with senior executives from government and industry.
  • Ability to create and foster a cooperative work environment.
  • Self-directed, detail-oriented in completing assigned tasks, able to adapt to changing work efforts and manage impact of shifting priorities.
Qualifications:
  • Active SECRET clearance.
  • 5+ years of experience working within the DoD Logistics IT enterprise, preferably with Dept. of Navy, Dept. of Air Force, or DLA systems.
  • Experience in documenting data exchanges and requirements to support logistics and sustainment activities, including provisioning and cataloging, logistics product data, and requisitions/fills.
  • Experience in exercising audit readiness expertise to enhance systems materiel data harvesting and implement metrics reporting tools to support lifecycle management decision-making.
  • Experience in identifying and documenting structured and unstructured sustainment data and developing an approach to enable DoD organizations to upload, search, and access relevant supply chain and maintenance data for future data mining actions.
  • Experience in capabilities and requirements analysis.
  • Experience in information security systems engineering principles.
  • Experience in system life cycle management principles, including software security and usability.
  • Experience in conducting risk analysis, feasibility study, and/or trade-off analysis to develop, document, and refine functional requirements and specifications.
  • Experience in translating functional requirements into technical solutions.
