Sleep Lab Manager

LCMC Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sleep Lab Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sleep center, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of comprehensive quality care through the management of human and material resources. This includes planning, developing, and implementing departmental policies and procedures, annual goals and objectives, and performance improvement measures to assure quality, safety, and patient satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the acquisition of sleep study data and ensure correct patient registration and scoring of tests.
- Lead a team of sleep technicians and perform all necessary tasks as needed.
- Introduce and apply CPAP/BIPAP/oxygen as needed and document changes in treatment and rational for changes throughout the titration process.
- Establish optimal treatment levels for patients considering patient comfort, compliance, and effectiveness of therapy and report optimal treatment levels/oxygen level recommendations for interpreting physicians.
- Maintain an adequate inventory of supplies, coordinate purchases, and monitor new processes to determine ways to enhance revenue and/or reduce costs.
- Monitor and manage long-term monitoring schedules with appropriate staffing.
- Demonstrate and actively promote compliance with all state and federal regulatory and accrediting agencies.
- 1 year of experience in Clinical - Sleep Medicine or Respiratory Procedures/Pediatric preferred/Sleep Center (CHNOLA/WJMC)
- Required: Associate's Degree in a related field (CHNOLA)
- Required: Bachelor's Degree in a related field (CHNOLA)
- Certification Name: Registered Sleep Technologist
- Certification Name: Basic Life Support Health Care Provider
- Certification Name: Registered Polysomnographic Technologist
- Certification Name: Licensed Polysomnographic Tech
- Certification Name: Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Basic Life Support (BLS) healthcare provider certification required.
- Ability to perform standard/complex Sleep studies according to established standards and practices.
- Capacity to deal with severely ill patients.
- Ability to safeguard patients in emergency situations.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of personnel and medical staff.
- Ability to balance and prioritize diverse management and clinical responsibilities.
- Ability to prioritize work demands and work with minimal supervision.
- Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and organization.
