Senior SUE Field Technician

T2 Utility Engineers is seeking a highly skilled Senior SUE Field Technician to join our team in Lake City, FL. As a key member of our Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) field tech team, you will play a critical role in guiding and leading daily field crew operations to ensure comprehensive and accurate utility mapping.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate SUE utility locating and designating equipment in complex utility infrastructure environments to accurately map all utilities within the project area.
  • Complete detailed accurate daily reports, forms, and field sketches, both electronically and by hand.
  • Supervise daily SUE field crew activities and train other crew members.
  • Represent and communicate on behalf of T2ue with clients, sub-contractors, and third parties during field activities.
  • Effectively maintain, clean, and operate vehicles, equipment, tools, and supplies.
  • Facilitate Daily Tailgate Safety Meetings and perform Daily Job Hazard Analysis with crew members.
  • Drive commercial motor vehicles, with a valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Direct safety set-up for proper maintenance of traffic signage.
  • Complete monthly equipment inventory for Supervisor reorder.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of experience as a SUE Field Technician II.
  • Ability to read and interpret utility company prints and design plans.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Ability to secure client-required identity verification, such as TWIC and SWAC.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical (U.S. only).
  • Ability to obtain a DOT medical card for CMV operation (U.S. only).
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical movements necessary to operate heavy tools and equipment.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all climates.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, by company vehicle or commercial airline, up to 2 weeks continuous stay.
  • OSHA Safety certifications are a plus.
