We are seeking a Medical Donations Specialist to join our team in Peru, Illinois. As a key member of our blood collection staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient collection of lifesaving blood donations.

Job Summary

The Medical Donations Specialist will be responsible for collaborating with our team to transport and set up equipment at blood donation sites, creating a welcoming environment for donors, and following safety procedures to ensure the highest quality blood donations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Connect with donors on a personal level, listening to their stories and explaining the impact of their donation.
  • Work collaboratively with teammates to create a friendly and comfortable atmosphere for repeat donors.
  • Maintain attention to detail throughout the day to guarantee the quality and safety of collected blood.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by working variable schedules, including early mornings, late nights, and occasional weekends.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong customer service skills and effective communication abilities.
  • A valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • The physical ability to lift, push, or pull heavy weights and adapt to long hours and frequent schedule changes.
Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in healthcare or phlebotomy (CNA, MA, EMT, etc.) and leadership roles are highly valued.
