Job Summary:
Altru Health is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team as a Critical Care Nurse Specialist. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and supportive environment.

About the Role:
This role involves working closely with patients, families, and healthcare teams to deliver exceptional care and support. As a Critical Care Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing personalized care plans, and implementing evidence-based interventions to promote optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients, prioritizing their physical, emotional, and social needs.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, ensuring seamless transitions and efficient workflows.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive care plans that address patient-specific goals, preferences, and cultural backgrounds.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to identify potential safety risks, prevent adverse events, and ensure timely intervention when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient interactions, progress, and outcomes.

Requirements:
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in North Dakota or compact state agreement.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
  • Ability to lift up to 20-40 pounds, stand frequently, and walk occasionally throughout the shift.
