Position Overview

Classification: Associate Governmental Program Analyst

Under the supervision of the Government and Community Affairs Manager, the Associate Governmental Program Analyst functions as the liaison for community affairs and equity initiatives. This role is pivotal in guiding the District's efforts to enhance and promote the Equity Program established by Caltrans.

The incumbent will engage with community-based and non-governmental organizations to provide strategic support and direction to the District. Key responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating communication and educational outreach.
  • Conducting analyses and recommending reforms.
  • Promoting community engagement to inform various plans, programs, and projects.

The Associate Governmental Program Analyst will also work collaboratively to develop and strengthen partnerships, ensuring that equity goals are effectively implemented and achieved. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of equity processes and the ability to identify and analyze related issues.

Working Conditions

This role is based in a dynamic environment where the incumbent may experience various work settings. Responsibilities may require prolonged periods of sitting or standing in an office atmosphere, along with potential travel across the state for meetings with local agencies and stakeholders.

Telework options may be available, subject to departmental policies and operational needs. Candidates should be prepared for occasional in-person attendance at the headquarters and may need to engage in public relations activities outside of standard working hours.
