Freeman Mathis & Gary is a prominent national litigation firm with a robust team of over 350 attorneys across thirty-seven offices in twenty-one states. We are currently seeking a seasoned Attorney Partner with a strong background in Healthcare law to enhance our Cleveland, Ohio office.

Role Overview:

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, demonstrating a commitment to maintaining positive client relationships while upholding the confidentiality of sensitive matters. A collaborative spirit is essential for success in this role.

Healthcare Practice Focus:

Our healthcare legal team provides comprehensive representation to a diverse range of clients, including hospitals, physician groups, long-term care facilities, nursing homes, and medical technology providers. We also advocate for healthcare professionals in various legal matters, including professional negligence claims. Our attorneys have a proven track record of defending clients in both federal and state courts, as well as in credentialing and licensing issues nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial case assessments and formulate strategic plans.
  • Manage discovery processes, including preparation and responses.
  • Conduct depositions, draft legal motions, and represent clients in hearings.
  • Advise clients on legal options and potential outcomes.
  • Foster and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Exhibit strong negotiation, research, and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in Ohio.
  • Exceptional critical thinking abilities and a solid academic foundation.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving, with a strong sense of urgency in meeting deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and effective in managing tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with staff.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook; familiarity with iManage and/or OneDrive is a plus.
