Job Description

AIRBUS U.S. Space & Defense, Inc. is a leading provider of advanced solutions for complex U.S. defense, security, space, and intelligence requirements.

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Tool Room Attendant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining tooling, including issuance and receipt of various tools and supplies, while maintaining accurate record keeping.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain tooling inventory, including data entry and record keeping.
  • Transfer tooling to designated areas throughout the facility.
  • Return tooling to inventory and perform daily stock checks.
  • Control customer-furnished tooling and ensure it is properly maintained.
  • Adhere to safe maintenance practices and maintain a clean work area.
  • Assist in ensuring tools remain within calibration measurements.
  • Maintain quality control of respirators and conduct tooling repair, including lubrication.
  • Build tooling racks and shelving units as needed.
  • Able to identify aircraft tools and perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • 3+ years of experience working with parts inventory or distribution type environment, with aviation experience preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience working in ERP systems, such as SAP or P2K, is preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of aviation parts and hands-on experience with Microsoft Office packages.
  • Must be well-organized and precise to manage parts inventory with accuracy.
  • Able to read instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the basic functions of the job.

Eligibility:

  • US Citizenship or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder) is required.

Nature of Contacts:

Involved communication on a regular basis with internal and external parties.
