We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activity Director to join our skilled nursing team at Briarfield Health Care Centers. Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute engaging activity programs for residents
  • Review and comply with policies and procedures, recommending changes as necessary
  • Follow individualized plans of care to ensure residents' needs are met
  • Motivate residents to participate in group and independent activities
  • Accept responsibility and accountability for assigned tasks
  • File complaints and grievances to the Executive Director
  • Participate in surveys and complete assigned duties
  • Provide reality orientation and lead group activities
  • Work with student and adult volunteers, assist with personal correspondence, and perform personal shopping as assigned
Qualifications:

A high school diploma or equivalent, or two years of related experience and/or training, is required. The Activity Director must be an occupational therapist or therapy assistant, or therapeutic recreation specialist (skilled nursing communities only).
