About the Role:

The Biomedical Equipment Technician II is a key member of our team at SolutionHealth, responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning of our medical equipment. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on basic clinical equipment, including thermometers, EKG machines, and infusion pumps, in accordance with established procedures.
  • Respond to emergency calls for the immediate repair of basic biomedical equipment, utilizing the Engineering Department's Computerized Maintenance Management software, phone, and email.
  • Inspect and document newly purchased basic clinical equipment, adhering to hospital policies and procedures, and collaborate with team members to identify and assign proper future PM tasks in accordance with the Medical Equipment Management Plan.
  • Accompany the Biomed Supervisor or higher-level technicians on repair requests or preventive maintenance of mid-level complexity clinical equipment when required.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or a closely related field, or a combination of experience preferred.
  • A valid driver's license is required and must be maintained throughout employment in the position.
  • CBET certification preferred.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of general electromechanical troubleshooting experience is required.
