Senior Architectural Designer

Northern Impact, a national award-winning architecture and design firm, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Architectural Designer to join their team. With over 19 offices across the U.S., the firm specializes in K-12 through college/university, healthcare, sports, and corporate business sectors.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a talented designer to contribute to the development of innovative architectural design concepts and guide their implementation across all design phases. As a pivotal member of the team, you will collaborate effectively with senior management and colleagues to translate ideas into tangible designs.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and refine architectural design concepts, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and creativity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate design solutions with project requirements and client needs.
- Communicate design ideas and concepts effectively through presentations, sketches, and written reports.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, architectural finishes, and design software to ensure the relevance and appeal of design solutions.
- Prioritize client service, embodying dedication and responsiveness to client needs.
- Preferably licensed as an Architect, although not mandatory.
- Possess 5-10+ years of professional experience in architectural design.
- Experience with higher education and/or K-12 project types in California preferred.
- Proficiency in Revit Architecture and Sketchup is essential.
- Familiarity with ACAD, Photoshop, and other 3D modeling and rendering software such as Lumion and Enscape.
- Strong customer service orientation, coupled with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive under pressure, effectively managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with senior management, clients, and vendors.
- Familiarity with Design Thinking methodologies for client and team engagement.
- Understanding of systems integration and sustainability practices is a plus.
