About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Actuarial Analyst – Pricing to join our team at Argo Group. As a critical member of our actuarial pricing strategy, you will work closely with business partners to optimize our portfolio and drive continuous development of actuarial skills.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, programming skills in R, Python, SQL, Excel, and PowerBI, and experience working with predictive modeling. You will be responsible for supporting a full range of actuarial and financial analysis, including data cleansing, manipulation, EDA, and model building.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with business partners to develop and implement actuarial pricing strategies
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends and patterns, and develop predictive models to inform business decisions
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models, including rate filings and loss ratio planning
  • Communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders, both verbally and in writing
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or Finance related field
  • 3+ exams in current pursuit of ACAS or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of actuarial experience, preferably with commercial lines
  • Proficiency in one or more coding languages (SQL, R, Python, SAS, VBA)
  • Broad knowledge of insurance industry and regulatory environment
