Job Overview
As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department within our Systemwide Float Pool, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care while being eligible for bonuses.
The Scripps Systemwide Resource Services (SSRS) department is dedicated to supporting the entire Scripps Health network. By joining our SSRS ED team, you will have the opportunity to fill essential roles across various assignments, ensuring critical coverage during employee absences, illness, and peak service demands. This position allows you to gain diverse experience in multiple healthcare settings.
In your role as a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care in accordance with your professional scope. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting assessments, planning, and implementing care strategies.
- Evaluating patient progress towards expected health outcomes.
- Taking primary responsibility for patient care in collaboration with the Care Team.
- Working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
This is a Seasonal / Temporary position, where you will be a limited tenure employee supporting assignments ranging from 13 to 26 weeks.
Key Details:
- Full-Time RNs are sought for various shifts (Days, Mids, Nights).
- Seasonal roles are eligible for completion incentives.
Important Notes:
- Internal candidates and rehires who left Scripps less than 3 years ago are not eligible for hiring incentives.
- To maintain eligibility for retention incentives, you must adhere to specific criteria regarding your employment status, department, and job title.
Compensation:
Position Pay Range: $57.00-$81.60/hour. Actual pay will be determined based on relevant experience and internal equity.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum of 18 months of recent RN experience in an adult emergency department.
- Current California RN License.
- Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Registered nursing degree from an accredited institution.
- Proficiency in English, including speaking, reading, and following instructions.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to demonstrate positive behaviors.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing.
- TNCC Certification.
Travel Requirements:
You may be assigned to various Scripps Health campuses as needed.
