Job Summary

Horizons Unlimited of San Francisco, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Coordinator for Prevention Education to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating groups for our comprehensive substance use prevention program, which includes environmental prevention, youth leadership programs, and outreach activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement outreach materials and strategies to recruit families for our Strengthening Families Program, Botvin LifeSkills, and other prevention services.
  • Coordinate operations for each intervention, including scheduling, planning, and conducting participant orientations.
  • Co-facilitate the Parent/Youth/Family components of the Strengthening Families program and facilitate Botvin Lifeskills program and CMCA cohorts onsite or at local school sites.
  • Maintain accurate records of program attendance and services, including data entry and reporting.
  • Attend weekly program meetings, bi-monthly All Staff meetings, and other meetings as required.
  • Implement program evaluations to measure the impact of delivery of services.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in social sciences or related field and/or 2+ years experience providing direct services for youth in a non-profit setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively facilitate youth groups and commitment to learn environmental prevention work.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to meet deadlines and juggle multiple competing deadlines/tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to maintain confidential, accurate, and complete records, including documentation of daily attendance, hours tracking, and monthly and quarterly reports.
