Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Critical Care Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Critical Care Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our critical care team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Record and deliver organized rounds, discussing cases and gathering additional information as necessary
  • Evaluate incoming patients and prioritize based on assessment
  • Partner with the patient care team regarding treatment plans, client communication, and nursing care concerns
  • Provide client education, including home care instructions, medications, and general wellness updates on hospitalized patients
  • Assist the DVM with patient assessment, treatment, and procedures
  • Provide monitoring and nursing care to hospitalized patients
  • Induce and monitor general anesthesia and sedation procedures
  • Perform in-house laboratory testing and prepare samples for outside laboratory testing
Requirements
  • State Registered Veterinary Technician license preferred
  • Prior veterinary experience required, with previous Critical Care, Nursing, or Emergency experience desired
  • Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)
  • Flexibility with work hours and ability to work additional hours when necessary
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
