We are seeking a skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician to join our team at US Foods. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and Repair Equipment: Diagnose and repair complex issues with our diesel equipment, including tractors, trailers, and refrigeration units.
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and ensure optimal performance.
  • Document and Record Keeping: Accurately document all repair orders, maintenance records, and parts inventory.
  • Road Service and Rescue: Respond to roadside emergencies and transport equipment as needed.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels and recordkeeping of parts and supplies.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with other maintenance team members to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience as a heavy duty diesel mechanic or reefer mechanic, or a combination of both.
  • Diagnostic and Troubleshooting Skills: Proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex equipment issues.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to think critically and solve problems independently.
  • PM Program Administration: Experience in administering preventative maintenance programs.
  • CDL A and DOT Certification: Preferred, but not required.
