Medical Assistant/Transcriptionist Clinical Support Specialist

NYU Langone Health seeks a Medical Assistant/Transcriptionist to join its faculty group practice in Brooklyn, NY. This role involves providing clinical and administrative support to assist in delivering effective patient care.
Job DescriptionThis Medical Assistant/Transcriptionist is responsible for completing various tasks, including:
- Documenting patient orders, such as laboratory tests, radiology tests, and medications.
- Obtaining vital signs, weights, and EKGs as needed.
- Assisting patients and communicating with physicians to obtain prescription renewals.
- Cleaning and preparing exam rooms and treatment areas for the next patient.
The successful candidate will also assist physicians with procedures, clean and sterilize equipment, answer telephones, and maintain patient flow throughout the facility.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo qualify, candidates must have a current Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited institution. Previous scribe experience is preferred.
Benefits and CompensationNYU Langone Health offers competitive salaries and benefits packages. The estimated salary for this position is around $45,000-$55,000 per year, depending on experience. Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
