Vensure Employer Solutions, a leading provider of HR technology and service solutions, is seeking a skilled Medical Risk Assessor to join our team. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for assessing medical risk for our PEO-sponsored medical plans.
Key Responsibilities- Collect and review customer-specific information to ensure accurate submission completion and pricing.
- Work with sales and support teams to ensure all necessary collateral is received and discrepancies are addressed.
- Calculate rates for complex group cases using underwriting methodologies and industry expertise.
- Develop judgment to assess new business for master medical plans, ensuring a profitable book of business.
- Review and complete sales requests and inquiries within company-established standards and policy guidelines.
- Update underwriting systems as necessary and provide knowledge sharing and education to peers and sales teams.
- High School Diploma required, Associates degree preferred or comparable experience.
- Insurance carrier underwriting experience preferred 2+ years.
- PEO underwriting experience preferred 2+ years.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Familiarity with office environment.
