Position Summary
The Automation Field Service Specialist will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of Ranpak Automation equipment at various client sites. This role is crucial in ensuring optimal machine performance and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
1. Execute service work orders with full accountability.
2. Provide support to the Ranpak Technical Support Hotline as needed.
3. Prioritize safety and adhere to specific customer requirements.
4. Prepare detailed and accurate field service reports.
5. Ensure timely submission of service reports and expense documentation.
6. Maintain clear communication with clients and Ranpak team members regarding job progress.
7. Foster and maintain professional relationships with a diverse customer base.
8. Keep tools and equipment, including service vehicles, in optimal condition.
9. Leave customer locations clean and organized after service completion.
10. Contribute positively to a professional and profitable service organization.

Qualifications
• Preferred formal training in electrical or mechanical disciplines from a technical institution, or a minimum of four years of experience in industrial automation maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Willingness to travel within North America, with an expected travel commitment of 50-70%.
• Strong mechanical and electronic skills for diagnosing and resolving complex machinery issues.
• Proficiency in working with PLCs from various manufacturers (e.g., Siemens, Beckhoff).
• Logical and solution-oriented mindset.
• Self-motivated with a desire to enhance technical knowledge and skills.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Strong focus on customer service and exceeding client expectations.
• Proficient in using computer applications, including MS Office.
• Flexibility in working hours to accommodate customer needs, including occasional weekends and off-hours.
