Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct or provide guidance on various aspects of budget management.
  • Evaluate and propose cost-effective alternatives for financial oversight of organizational programs and administrative functions.

  • Training and maintenance of a government credit card for travel-related expenses will be necessary.
  • This position falls under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA), requiring certification in the relevant Acquisition Functional Area within established timeframes.
Qualifications

To qualify for this position, applicants must demonstrate relevant experience and/or education, skills, and abilities necessary for the role.

For GS-09: Candidates must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level, or possess a master's degree or equivalent graduate education, or a combination of experience and education. Specialized experience includes: 1) Developing recommendations to enhance financial management practices; 2) Monitoring compliance with financial policies; and 3) Advising on financial programs.

For GS-07: Candidates must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level, or one year of graduate education, or a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement, or a combination of experience and education. Specialized experience includes: 1) Preparing financial reports; 2) Utilizing financial systems for data entry; and 3) Collecting financial data for program status.

Education Requirements

Education must be from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Documentation of foreign education equivalency may be required.
