The Regional Material Planner Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance supply chain operations within the North American region. This position is crucial for optimizing the supply chain to fulfill production needs, reduce costs, and promote overall operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Long-term material planning for active ingredients.
- Supervision of MRP plans across all internal manufacturing sites.
- Validation of MRP compliance to align with production strategies for both internal and external manufacturing.
- Provision of detailed material forecasts to procurement and finance departments.
- Active involvement in monthly and weekly calibration meetings with procurement teams.
- Execution of the Material Requirements Plan for active ingredients, including preparation, review, and confirmation of planned orders.
- Timely conversion of suggestions into purchase requisitions and resolution of exceptions.
- Development of efficient material plans in alignment with relevant stakeholders, including site Production Schedulers and Regional Supply Planners.
- Accurate forecasting of procurement needs for local materials and suppliers.
- Management of inventory levels to optimize stock while preventing shortages or excess.
- Monthly reporting in accordance with the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Accountability for alignment with internal company and global forecasting within the monthly IBP cycle, ensuring seamless collaboration.
- Validation of MRP exceptions and formulation of recommendations to create a viable Material Requirements Plan.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain Management preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Operational Supply Chain and Supply Planning, specifically in Materials Planning/MRP.
- Proven ability to manage and develop site planners using industry-standard tools and practices.
- Experience in chemical manufacturing is preferred.
- APICS certifications are advantageous.
