Job Summary

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist plays a critical role in the diagnosis of disease and injury by performing high-quality nuclear medicine procedures. Under the general supervision of a Radiologist, this technologist will work with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely imaging results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform nuclear medicine procedures according to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Prepare patients and equipment for procedures, ensuring proper positioning and immobilization.
  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to safety requirements, infection-control policies, and radiation protocols.
  • Maintain equipment and work areas to meet quality and cleanliness standards.
  • Obtain and verify relevant documentation, including patient history, pregnancy status, and shielding precautions.
Requirements
  • ARRT-N Nuclear Medicine Tech (ARRT-N) or CNMT certification.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain a calm and helpful attitude, even in stressful situations.
