Position Overview
The University of Denver is seeking an accomplished academic for the role of Assistant Professor specializing in American Politics with a focus on Critical Race and Ethnic Studies. This tenure-track position will contribute to both the Department of Political Science and the Critical Race and Ethnic Studies Program (CRES).

Departmental Context
The Department of Political Science comprises a dedicated group of faculty committed to delivering a comprehensive education in political science. The CRES program, established to address critical issues surrounding race and ethnicity, offers both a major and minor, engaging students from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to:
1. Conduct a robust research agenda leading to high-quality scholarly publications.
2. Teach five courses per academic year, including introductory and advanced courses in both Political Science and CRES.
3. Provide academic advising to students within the Political Science and CRES programs.
4. Collaborate with faculty to enhance the CRES curriculum and participate in departmental service.

Qualifications
Applicants must possess:
- A Ph.D. in Political Science, Political Sociology, or a related interdisciplinary field.
- A proven track record of peer-reviewed publications in American politics, particularly focusing on race and ethnicity.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to inclusive teaching practices.
