Job Overview

This role will focus on ensuring the quality and compliance of Industrial products sold by Ferguson. The successful candidate will work closely with other engineers and analysts to drive product quality and compliance from inception to delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with cross-functional teams to manage larger projects within Product Assurance.
  • Develop and maintain benchmarks, reporting, and analysis for specific product categories.
  • Monitor and document product quality issues, and provide technical support to downstream customers.
  • Participate in or lead vendor quality audits and support inspections.
  • Implement corrective actions and develop product improvements with vendors.
  • Review nonconformance data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Lead the certification program for specific categories, ensuring products are properly tested, labeled, and marked.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in an engineering field.
  • Demonstrated experience in product quality and compliance, preferably 3-5 years.
  • ASQ Certification(s) a plus: CQE, CQA, CQPA, or CMQ/OE.
  • Knowledge of industry compliance requirements including ASME, ASTM, ANSI, MSS, NSF, NFPA, CSA, ETL, NEC, DOE, CEC, Energy Star, UL approvals, etc.
  • Experience with quality tools such as six sigma, lean manufacturing, FMEA, and root cause analysis (8D, 5Why, etc.)
