Job Summary:

As a Trailer Maintenance Technician at Estes Express, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our trailers by performing repairs and preventive maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and diagnose trailer equipment to identify areas that require maintenance or repair
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations, to prevent equipment failure
  • Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems to ensure trailer safety and functionality
  • Conduct safety inspections to ensure compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations and company policies
  • Interpret work orders and technical manuals to complete tasks efficiently
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 18+ years of age
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in trailer maintenance or a related field
  • Ability to use hand tools and test equipment
  • Must have own tools
  • Knowledge of general repairs and PM criteria
  • Ability to keep up with changing technology and updates
  • Mechanical ability and interest in electronics and precision equipment
  • Ability to lift 70 lbs. or more
  • Valid CDL and acceptable MVR (if driving on public roads)
  • Registration with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse (if CDL holder)
Work Environment:

As a Trailer Maintenance Technician, you will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, and airborne particles. You may be required to work in high/precarious places, with hazardous materials, and in various weather conditions.
