Key Responsibilities:
• Engage in the generation and assessment of intellectual property.
• Design, develop, and implement automated mechanical systems for security applications.
• Utilize advanced CAD software to produce detailed 3D models and schematics.
• Apply rapid prototyping techniques, including additive manufacturing, to efficiently iterate and validate design concepts.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to establish project specifications and propose innovative solutions.
• Oversee the prototyping, assembly, and testing of mechanical systems.
• Conduct system integration and testing to ensure optimal functionality.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant safety regulations and standards.
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.
• Stay updated on new products and applications through self-directed learning, hands-on testing, and ongoing training.
• Regularly contribute to product definition and design in collaboration with Product Management, Operations, Sales, R&D, and partner engineering teams.
• Occasional travel may be required to support clients and installations (up to 25%).

Qualifications:
• BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of proven experience in mechanical system design and development.
• Proficient in 3D design software (such as SolidWorks or equivalent).
• Demonstrated skills in system modeling and simulation.
• Familiar with documentation packages (manufacturing drawings, BOM, assembly drawings and instructions, manuals, etc.).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Proven history of successfully delivering automation projects on schedule and within budget.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
