Primary Services is seeking a skilled Buyer to join our team in the oil and gas sector. As a key member of our Global Shared Services Purchasing team, you will play a crucial role in creating requisitions and purchase orders in SAP while ensuring compliance with corporate standards.
Responsibilities:
- Create purchase orders in SAP and manage the lifecycle from requisition receipt to supplier payment.
- Handle inquiries with urgency and professionalism.
- Evaluate vendor quotes to determine the most cost-effective solutions.
- Verify invoice accuracy and facilitate the timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to resolve transactional issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with the Supply Chain Policy, maintaining all required documentation and communications.
- Identify root cause issues and communicate corrective actions to vendors and stakeholders.
- Assist in data clean-up efforts and special projects as assigned.
- Provide analytical support for supply chain initiatives through collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration.
- 3-5 years of experience in Supply Chain or Procurement.
- Previous experience in a purchasing or transactional role.
- Proficiency with SAP (basic level at a minimum).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Capability to navigate unknown territories and prioritize effectively.
- Experience with SMART by GEP is a plus.
- Familiarity with PowerBI and/or Spotfire dashboards is desirable.
