Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer II to join our team at the City of Laredo, TX. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for performing professional engineering work related to the water and sewer infrastructure of the city.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and review engineering design and standards for water and sewer infrastructure projects.
  • Provide customer service and coordination between consultants, engineers, staff, and other departments.
  • Oversee the development of water and sewer improvements for new subdivisions and respond to complaints and inquiries.
  • Assist with capital improvement projects and provide technical advice as needed.
  • Coordinate with other utility departments to identify conflicts with existing or proposed infrastructure.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • At least one year of experience in civil, mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering or related field.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) License is required.
