Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Technical Discipline
  • 3-5+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Strong knowledge of Enterprise Software and Big Data
  • Understanding of enterprise operations, security, and data governance challenges
  • Experience in Solution Architecture/Engineering, with a focus on interpreting customer needs and delivering solutions that provide business value
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure (Hardware, Storage, Network), Java/.NET, SQL, with a strong interest in Data Science and an understanding of Data Engineering versus Applied Science
  • Solid Linux skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and analytical abilities

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with the Big Data Ecosystem, including HDFS & YARN, Spark, Impala, KUDU, Solr, etc.
  • Experience with Streaming technologies such as Nifi, Kafka, Flink, Spark, etc.
  • Knowledge of NoSQL databases like HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB, etc.
  • Experience with EDW systems like Teradata, Netezza, GreenPlum, Exadata
  • Background in Data Science and Machine Learning with tools like R, Python, Deep Learning Frameworks, etc.
  • Exposure to Integration Products like Talend, DataStage, Informatica BDM, Qlik, Tableau, etc.
