Job Overview

General Overview: The Production Quality Engineer serves as the key representative for the Richards Quality Management System within the manufacturing environment. This role acts as a vital link between the Engineering and Production teams.

Reporting Structure: Reports directly to the Quality Engineering Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily assessments of processes and safety protocols on the production floor across both shifts.
  • Maintain a consistent presence on the shop floor to facilitate direct communication between production staff and engineering personnel.
  • Assist in quality initiatives aimed at enhancing process consistency and minimizing waste.
  • Perform First Article inspections and collaborate with Engineering for evaluations.
  • Analyze process workflows to recommend enhancements and modifications to engineering practices.
  • Champion the implementation of continuous improvement strategies in Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery.
  • Exhibit the capability to identify root causes and provide constructive technical feedback to the engineering team.

Educational Requirements:

  • A degree in a Technical or Engineering field or equivalent professional experience is required.

Experience Requirements:

  • Prior experience is not mandatory.

Additional Training:

  • Familiarity with the Company's Quality Management System.
  • Awareness of ISO 9001:2015 standards.
